U18 girls bowed out in Semi-final

Creggs U18 girls bowed out at the semi final stage of the U18 Girls Plate last night losing 12-7 to Corinthians last night in Creggs.
Not having played a game in 7 weeks, it was totally understandable that this young Creggs team made plenty of handling errors in the first half and they found themselves 7-0 down at the break. A brilliant second half performance by the Creggs girls saw them camped in the opposition 22 but a combination of a couple of poor decisions and some excellent defence saw the Creggs girls held up on a couple of occasions and also turned over when near the line. Creggs did get in for a score with a few minutes left with a try from Emily Kelly that was converted by Grace O Shaughnessy to level the scores 7-7. Creggs girls needed to score again as they would have gone out on the 1st try scored and they threw caution to the wind and when a ball hit the floor, Corinthians capitalised with a score with the last play of the game. Thanks to all for the season and we hope to see you all back again next season.
