Creggs U14 girls travelled to Loughrea RFC on Saturday for a friendly with a 12 noon kickoff. It was cold but sunny and both teams played the game in the spirit of a friendly encounter. Loughrea started brightly with a couple of tries early but Creggs fought back with a try from Keeva Glennon who got the ball from the back of a ruck and broke a few tackles to dot down by the posts. Naomi Vitorio got Creggs second just after halftime when she skipped passed two Loughrea defenders and fought her way to the try line to score her first try for the Creggs girls. Vitorio was also excellent in defence, making double and triple tackle efforts. Ali Farrell on the wing put in some great tackles and was always looking for an offload or pop pass when Creggs were going forward. Congratulations to Abbey and Lauren Murray for starting their first game today. We train again Monday at 7pm.
