Dunmore RFC 5 Creggs RFC 17
Creggs U13’s beat Dunmore RFC in the first round of the U13 cup last Saturday morning in Dunmore and will play Loughrea in the next round of the cup on Easter weekend. Creggs took the lead after 3 minutes when Lorcan Maher charged over after good work from Luke Divilly, Rory Callaghan and Jack McDermott and Mark Purcell converted the try to give Creggs a 7-0 lead. After 11 minutes Creggs increased the lead after Mark Purcell slotted a penalty to bring the score to 10-0.
After 17 minutes good work from Ethan Glennon and Ronan Lambe provided good ball for Jack Tucker to crash over which Purcell converted again leaving the half time score 17-0 at half time.
In the second half Creggs came close on a few occasions through Cian Glennon , Darragh Kierrnan and Darren Gately but good defence from Dunmore kept the Creggs boys at bay and Dunmore finished out the game when they got the last score in the final play of the game to leave the final score 17-5 to Creggs.
