Creggs Under-18’s put up a big score in League win

Creggs Rugby 53, Monivea RFC 12.

Creggs Under-18’s put up an impressive score against an under-strength Monivea RFC side last Sunday in their Connacht Under-18.5 League match. In the process, they maintain an excellent six win from six outings.
However, it was a slow start with Monivea touching down first. The Galway lads were 5-0, before the Creggs lads got going.

In all, Creggs score 9 tries with a brace each for Kaylem Holian and Aodha Hession, and amongst others, Ryan O’Keeffe continue his try a game scoring form.

There was notable very strong defensive displays from Jack Hanley and John McDonnell in particular, and Thomas O’Brien had many outstanding carries.

Good news too – Ethan Glennon, who came off injured will be fit to return to the squad in a week or so, as will two or three other rested players. Their next game is away v Oughterard RFC ont Sunday. Earlier this season, the corresponding fixture was a tight affair with Creggs winning by just one score, 19-14 in Creggs.
