Creggs RFC 10, Westport RFC 10.

Creggs Under-14s continued their recent unbeaten run with a hard fought 10-10 draw with a spirited Westport RFC side. Having lost to Westport away earlier in the season, this performance proved a fair measure of their constant improvement in the last few weeks.

Westport scored an early try, only to have it cancelled out with a good Creggs team move and touched down by the hard working scrum half Daniel Brown.

Creggs again found themselves five points down in the final quarter setting up a grandstand finish. Shane Maloney crossed the try line but was held up. Conor Kelly on his debut came close to scoring also with fine runs from the centre,

Eventually in injury time, after great running from Andriu Oates and Adam Flynn putting Westport under immense pressure forcing them to kick for touch, but the ball was half block down by Tommy Morris & Eoghan Keaveny who passed it to the impressive and hard tackling Creggs fly half Jack Donnelly to score a last minute try in the corner.
