Creggs U15’s secured their qualification for the League Semi final after a hard fought 7-5 win over Galwegians on Sunday morning in Creggs

Really Creggs should have had this game well and truly sewn up in the first half when they let a few scores get away from them however they did have a 7-0 half time lead after a try from James Brandon and conversion from Shane Purcell after 20 minutes. Played in very heavy conditions after the early morning rain both teams were finding it hard to move the ball wide and mistakes were plentiful.

Towards the end of the second half Creggs were attacking the Galwegians line however after a turnover and a loose kick by Creggs, Galwegians ran the pitch and scored a try with the last play of the game however they missed the kick leaving the final score 7-5 to Creggs.

Although they have qualified for the semi final Creggs still have one more group game against Buccaneers next weekend in Athlone.

Creggs: Ian Conlon, Melvin Conteh, Brian Maloney, Brandon Hanmore, David O Gorman, Michael Brandon, James Brandon, Adam Finnerty, Eoghan Coyle, Shane Purcell, Niall Cunniffe, Cian Gately, Reece Gilligan, Adam Canny, Padraic Gaffey, Dylan Crehan, Michael Conroy
