In the second half, Creggs continued to attack and after a good carry from Ailish O Rourke and Captain Susan O Reilly, Eabha Dowd spotted the gap and glided through for a score to stretch the Creggs lead to 24-10. A heavy hail stone shower and cold breeze led to a few knock-ons and the game was played between both 10 metre lines for the next 10 minutes. Creggs regained territorial advantage and after Seren Griffiths and Shauna Fitzmaurice were stopped short, Creggs were awarded a penalty which Michaela Gillooly scored and Dowd converted to stretch the lead further to 31-10. College never gave up and continued to attack and some good Creggs defence held them out to hold out for the victory. Creggs will play Galwegians in the Cup Quarter Final next weekend in Creggs . Having lost to them in the league recently in a close game, Creggs women will need to be at their best to overcome the next challenge to reach the cup semi final.
