Creggs RFC girls U.16 played a home game vs Buccaneers RFC on Saturday in Creggs. Buccs traveled with a big panel while Creggs only had 16 girls togged out. The game started well but Buccs crossed for the first score of the game. Creggs fought back and were unlucky to go in 15-21 down at half time. Creggs gathered the kick off from the second half restart and ran the length of the pitch scoring a great try. Some more great rugby was played from both teams but Buccs ultimately came away with a 29-38 win. Well done to all the girls with a great display. Try scorers on the day were Lola Glennon, Clodagh Finneran, Ava Smyth, Claire Featherstone with Darcy kicking 2 conversions. Well done team. The improvement with training is showing.
