Creggs U14 girls hosted Westport RFC in their cup semi final on a glorious sunny Sunday in Creggs. With 2 teams that were evenly matched a great game of rugby was expected.

It was Creggs that started the better, with the opening try from close range. They also crossed for a second try after which Westport managed to get a score of their own, before half time to leave the score 12-7.

Westport opened the second half scoring with a converted try but that didn’t faze the Creggs team who scored another try of their own. Some great defence from both teams finidhed the game with Creggs winning on a 17-12 score line to secure their place in the cup final on 13th April in Creggs.

Well done girls on route to a deserved final .Try scorers on the day were Isabelle Boyle, Sophie Dwyer and Muireanne Mulry with Massie Holmes converting

Creggs u14 girls will be hoping to add the cup to the League they won recently and have joined our u18 girls in the finals day in Creggs on April 13th.
